A better day fishing for my brother who caught 6 x trout on a black klinchammer, the largest 1lb. I caught 2 trout on cats whisker. Chest waders are required to get to the fish.

River looked almost perfect just a little low, I was the only angler so had the whole beat to myself and blanked!
Directions were spot on and the lady in the white cottage helped me to the river.
Great swims in the woods that just scream barbel/chub. I ledgered meat, pellets, cheese paste but no joy-however. I could see a huge shoal of dace in the woods, Bring trotting gear and small baits...

Very tough day. River really needs some rain. Look forward to exploring a different beat in the near future. Cheers WUF.

River low and clear, chub taken on pellet.

1 x 1lbs. The rest between 6-10 inches. WBT.

Beautiful part of the world & a pleasure to fish though not the most productive of days. 2 x Barbel to 7lb & 8 x chub to just under 5lb. Cant wait to return.

2 Barbel, 8 Chub

First day on the river, hot and sunny day. Not ideal conditions, river low, gin clear with lots of streamer weed. 7lb barbel caught near evening, good condition fish.

Fished from 10am to 5pm. Nothing for the first 3 hours. Strong South Westerly breeze. Caught 4 fish between 1pm and 2.30pm on a Daddylonglegs. Went quiet again for the rest of the time I was there. Hard work.
