Zero fish. Water was 18 degrees so many were struggling. Odd fish coming out to worm. Annoyed by the fact the rangers walked past several worm fisherman using multiple rods and did nothing about it. Many anglers were telling me they hadn't even bothered buying a permit and just wait for the rangers to leave before starting to fish! Welsh Water are not running a very tight ship here.

Hard work this time, had heavy rain and thunder until mid afternoon. Not too many canoes however. Plenty of fish showing but not too keen to get their heads down until mid evening as the river rose and coloured up a bit.
Pellet and meat - the river bed still as tackle hungry as ever.

Stream coloured after thunderstorms, no fish seen. One big tree down across the stream and a couple of smaller ones making it hard to get past about half way up also livestock barriers across and difficult to navigate round. Fished from 4pm till 5.30pm when I gave up as more thunder storms rolled in!

Fished from 9am on a nice stretch of the Taff. All very pleasant but no tugs, takes or bites of any description. Not one to give up, I decided to try the Taf Fawr. Unfortunately, (unless your a local) access to the river is difficult. Specifically, the road is high above the river, private land in between and the land around the river from dam road is private too. Therefore even though several miles were available, I fished only a little. Something of an unproductive day.

A very hard days fishing. Started at Lugg Meadow 9am till 4pm in very heavy rain and thunder using all types of baits and methods but just couldn't get any bites. The canoe traffic was very busy and frustrating, most where polite, others were a nightmare when overturning there canoes and swimming through my swim shouting and splashing. A move to bottom end of fishery was decided. Fished the 2 swims at bottom of the steps which was very snaggy and ended up losing quite a bit of tackle. Packed up at 8.30pm to return another day! No fish caught, my first blank on the Wye!

1 x small chub & 6 eels. Excellent stretch of river to but unfortunately very heavy rain and thunderstorms all day made fishing difficult. Eels seemed to like it though.
