Two anglers fished, our third member was ill. Fast flow and rather a breezy day. Nice day's fishing. Six small browns were caught and returned up to 20cm.

Strong complement of rods out today but sadly nothing to report other than we do have fish in the pools. 2 fish lost this morning and fish showing on beats 5 and 3. Better luck tomorrow.

Lovely looking water with lots of inviting runs. Fish rising and insects hatching in morning period but these tailed off later in the day. Rises tended to be 'oncers' and often splashy.
Fish caught on Hares Ears Klink and Parachute Adams. One small brown caught on Hares Ear Nymph.
An interesting but challenging day with steadily rising fish not in evidence. Largest fish 1lb.

Possibly not the best day to visit this brook for the first time. The wind made life very difficult but I did see three fish rising and crept up on another which ignored my dry offering so I added a nymph and then promptly spooked the fish!

Weather good, river in fine condition with plenty of hatching flies in the way of olives of all sizes. Rose one fish which was the only one seen in 6 hours.

First visit to the Rectory Beat & found the river at about 1ft 4inches. Fished the Rocks with floating line & slow sink leader, size 8 fly. Soon had a nice BT ( 1lbs 4oz ) & then lost a bright silver fish of 8 to 10lb from the side of the big rock! Saw one other running through but regret no further contacts. Lovely beat can not wait to get back early June. Fingers crossed for more water! Thanks go to all at Wye & Usk Foundation for their help.

Lovely sunny day and a gentle breeze in the Clettwr valley. River very clear, and plenty of olives and others around, however not many trout rising yet, must happen soon? Caught 4 of 8/9" each and scared or missed a few. On different paras, from different runs searching the water.
