Hard work on a low and clear river. Fish taken on spiders/emergers in the morning when there were a few fish rising. Cold wind pm soon put paid to that.

No fish caught. Fished the first roadside swim from 7am to 10am then had to bring my fishing partner back home to Cambridge as was feeling poorly. I had one violent take about 8am only to be snapped off on a snag about 1/3 the way out. Used swim feeder pellets. River conditions good. Saw lots of Buzzards, Ravens, Hobby and quite a few Kingfishers.
A great venue, will be back.

Got burnt and now raining most of the day. A long walk to the lower section, had to take most of the gear because of the rain. Plonked in the first swims.
Talked to the nice man in the youth hostel, able to park at end of camping area, saved a few hundred yards.
River still low, feeder-pellet and mag, barbel 6lbs bracket, small chub, eel and silvers.
Take care when driving down to the youth hostel, lots of deer on the way back 20+.

JB blanked but RG caught a chub of 2.5lb. Weather was aweful with torrential rain for most of the day making the banks very slippery and more dangerous as the day progressed. If it wasn't for RG bringing his spikes and rope we would have struggled to get down to the waters edge at all. Nevertheless a fantastic looking piece of water with everything from shallow rapids to deep water and you can park at the waters edge making it easy to get your gear down to the water.

Weather was overcast with occasional shower and drizzle. The Edw was low and clear and water 58F. I was guiding. My client caught 15 trout, 3 just over the one llb. 2 fish took a dry fly, all the others were taken on a nymph. There was a reasonable hatch of stoneflies (needleflies?) around noon and a few autumn LDOs.
My client and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Lovely stream in a delightful part of Wales.

Fished for 3 hours, lost a grilse at the bottom of the beat and saw another couple of salmon and an otter. Can imagine the beat is very good when there's a little more water.

Good day on my favourite Wye beat. Most of the fish taken on dries throughout the day. Biggest fish was a grayling of about 18". An otter gaves us a fleeting visit around lunchtime, but it didn't affect the grayling rising within the pool.
