Nothing caught. Water still a bit coloured for the fly. A very nice stretch of water though, and wading was easy.

Water 2'2" on Llanstephan gauge and clearing. Fresh 8lber (no lice) from Leaning Willow mid morning on a smallish Usk Grub. Fish took 20yds above the boil in front of the hut, almost on the dangle. Latched onto another for a few seconds later in the afternoon in the tail of Spring Pool which came to nowt. News of 1 lost and 1 landed at Caemawr rounded off a very good day.

Had a nice day on the river. Conditions were good and there was a good sedge hatch throughout most of the day. Fish were rising every now and again. Lovely stretch of water. Most fish caught were predominantly grayling but also caught the odd brownie. In total for the 2 rods that day, we had 26 grayling and 4 brown trout.

The river was high and slightly coloured but very fishable. Hooked 15 approx but landed only 7 brown trout. Mostly fish were 6 inches, with one of 10 inches.

Good size fish hooked under electric cables. At second run she came straight at me, lunched in the air and into overhanging bush. Plenty of slack line tangled and she was off the hook in few seconds. Dirty but clever trick. Don't like clever fish.
