Nil catch, no Salmon seen. Fished early morning and early evening. Guessing most fish had moved on last week after the higher levels. Good fly water though.

Returned 8 wbt from 7" to 11", and as usual missed a few! River clear but running well. On para. olive and adams, mostly from rougher water and faster glides. It may be worth mentioning that below the bridge there is an active camp site - kids and dogs enjoying the sun and water, so I did not bother trying to fish there.

Nice stretch. Fished beat 3 10' of water in a long glide. Half a dozen chub, best 4-8. Fed the barbel but didn't hook any.

Arrived about 10am and walked the venue to decide where to fish. This resulted in an excellent days fishing with my son, between us we caught 20 barbel and 7 chub. The largest barbel was 9lbs 1 oz and all were in immaculate condition. The river was very low and clear but we caught throughout the day. Access to the river in the orchard area was difficult so we parked at the designated spot on the road and fished that meadow. All fish were caught on pellet.
It was a wonderful day in a beautiful setting and I would like to thank the Wye and Usk foundation for making this stretch of the river Wye available. We will definately return. There were cows in every meadow and a bull with each herd and although we were wary they gave us no problems!

Very hot and sunny. Saw and fished over salmon at rockpool with several flies with no success. water very clear. Fished early evening for trout and took 5 to .75lb in woodstream on sunk 16 size tin head olive nymph. Hard fishing but enjoyed the day.

12 x trout 6-9 inches on Mini-Klinkhammer. Probably twice that in additional smaller fish and parr. I didn't see any larger fish, but there are a few deep holes at the top end, so they may well be there, as they certainly are on the lower GV beat. I'm not clear how long this beat is, but it takes about 4 hours to fish. A nice morning or afternoon on a very pretty stream in a beautiful valley. It does strike me that 4 vouchers, or perhaps even 3, would be pricing more in line with other similar beats on the passport scheme.

What a delightful little river, which was running clear and seemingly with a good volume of water (compared to some of the other roving voucher beats I have visited in the last 2 months). It is fairly tough work making your way upstream given the steepness of the gorge and slippery bedrock - my Vibram soled wading boots offered no grip at all and I was dunked 3 times - so care is needed when wading. A total of 17 fish caught, mostly brown trout with a handful of salmon parr, all released. Five fish were over 7" with the best being 9". The rest were all around the 4.5" to 5.5" mark. Most were taken on #22/24 BH PTNs, with a few on #18 Black/Purple Klinks and Parachute Adams. [P.S. I didn't have a pen to hand, so the 5 blank vouchers in the box are mine.]

A slow start culminating in a lively half hour rise at sunset with an abundant sedge hatch. I ended the day with 16 WBT of varying sizes up to 1 lb. S.H. of Burleigh caught 10 WBT up to 1 lb. Mainly taking PTN and Klink.

Started at about 7am on the lower end of Legg Meadow. Nothing until about 9am, when Don arrived to say hello. I promptly hooked two barbel in two casts, lost the first to a hook pull but landed the second at 8lb 12oz. Don left, and I only had one further chub until mid-afternoon, when I had another 3 barbel to about 6lb and 2 chub to 4lb. Unfortunately I had to leave at 5pm, just as Don returned. Maybe I should have stayed an hour or so longer - he seems to bring me luck. All fish to 8mm pellet & corn cocktails fished behind a big open-ended feeder.

All in all a very nice stretch of water, and it is possible to deal with the inevitable armada of canoes by keeping your rod low and your eyes open. Annoying though they are, the canoes seem to worry us anglers more than the fish - in fact I caught one barbel from more or less underneath one in about 5 feet of water. However I don't think I'd like to try to fish a static leger across to the far bank while they're about.

I look forward to returning with a foot or two of extra water around - I think the deeper, upper part of Legg Meadow will come into its own then. A big well done to WUF and Don.
