6 trout caught between us up to 3/4 of a pound, size 16 G/Heads. Several good size trout lost. Water clear. A very enjoyable days fishing.

3 wild BT caught - 2 on an emerging green olive and another on a nymph.

Nil. River quite low but cold. One pull all day on a Partridge & Orange.

No luck. Only had the chance to fish for a couple of hours, not ideal when it's your first time on a beat. I could of saved some time by not setting up the fly rod.

One small brown trout caught on a black buzzer. Great days fishing.

6 fish killed - all caught on floating line on nymphs.

Drove up in thick fog. Reservoir in thick cloud with light breeze. Fished NE shore. One 2LB rainbow on cats whisker. Weather improved to clearing skies and bright sun, no breeze and mirror surface. No takes. Caught one further 2lb rainbow on spinner with a 12oz toby. Another enjoyable day at a superb location. Once more pity about the litter on the banks, area deserves more respect.

nil return, washed-off

Unfortunately the Usk was in flood so we could not fish at Penpont so nil return. We were there for 3 days and was unable to fish our beats due to the bad weather.

Did not fish because of flood conditions
