Hard going with 4ft on and rising slightly during the day. Took 16 barbel and 7 chub between us on pellet.

2 Barbel, river a bit out of sorts. Both fish from top of stretch.

10 Barbel best 6lb, 2 chub

A lovely venue and a really helpful guide in Ian Boney. The access was good with safe, secure parking. Cars without 4 wheel drive may struggle through some patches but once the fields dry out a little this should not be a problem.
The river was fairly high on our visit (approx 1.5m up) making swim choice limited but we managed 2 barbel and 4 chub between us. We would definately come back here again and try in lower water conditions.

Nil Return. River too high and coloured. Had a good go on the fly and then spinner. 3 fish seen running but difficult conditions. Will try again next month.

Fished the bottom of woods section for 8 chub to nearly 4lbs and 4 barbel to 8lbs, all on pellet feeder. River in flood many swims underwater but very happy with catch.

Had two very good days Fishing the Meadow. Almost 50 barbel caught to 10lbs and another of 9lbs 8oz. Plenty of chub with a few 4lbers. Many of the barbel were above 5lbs and there was a good scattering of year classes. The weather did hold and the river did rise but only about 6". Most were caught on pellets. I think all 3 of us went home very happy people. Fish were caught throughout the day.
P and A both had pb's for chub and barbel and couldn't thank Don enough for having a wonderful fishery.

Water high but a great day, lovely location. Caught 3 big chub and 3 medium/small barbel. I am sure they have never been caught.

A lovely looking lake but afraid the same can't be said for the fishing. On my first cast hooked a smallish carp which came off. This was the only bite of the day for the two of us despite fishing for another 8hrs plus. Saw a few carp feeding in the side in the very shallow part of the lake but as soon as tried for them they disappeared. They only thing we seemed to be able to attract was the pair of swans on the lake.

1x Trout- 8oz spinner.
1x Salmon- spinner, 8lbs Silver fish, sea liced, taken.
Lovely water, told by the ghillie that it was a great height. Very well maintained beat. Apart from the caught fish saw possibly only one other. A very enjoyable day and fish was a bonus!
