Very tough fishing today, saved from a blank by one rainbow caught slow retrieving a spinner

Nice day with both Grayling and Trout to the net, and lots of bites and lost fish. Fished Euro Nymphs in the morning on shrimps and redtags, then traditional Northern Soft Hackles in the afternoon. Lovely day. River at 1ft 9" on the Llansteffan gauge.

Could not find any grayling but had a few OOS trout - fished dries only so guessing grayling must have been lying deep. Fished from 1 pm but nothing much hatching to bring grayling up but plenty of tiny fly and sedge on the wing so maybe hatched early or in the dark. Beautiful scenery with weather like a hot suumer day and very enjoyable.

Lovely warm day. Rather snaggy but caught on floated bread and ledgered meat.
