River high and only fishable on Lechmere side and very limited in terms of accessible swims, barbel between 5lb-7lb

4 Barbel, 30 Chub

Typical Wye as turned up to find River over a metre up and trees and all sorts flowing down river including Fire Extinguisher which was a first !
Fished bottom field trying to identify some slacker water and settled there , finished with 6 Chub biggest 4.10 and new Wye PB Barbel at 9lb 4oz , Biggest Chub on Rolled Meat and all other fish on Feeder fished Meat close in .
Although the River was on the rise all day and it heavily rained from early afternoon I had a great day on a new beat , will definitely return, Thank you Wye and Usk for another memorable day !

River rising, good colour. Caught barbel throughout rage day. All on pellet and feeder. Very good day.

16 Barbel, 10 Chub

Only fished until lunchtime. Two Barbel caught early in the first swim in the trees. Both caught on Boilie.

2 x Trout on Spinner (Silver with blue holographic). Very windy & overcast. Water was choppy today. Had a great encounter with Welsh Water, the guy was really nice to talk to & he was expecting to meet me. I retrieved some rubbish but there is lots in the water’s edges. Toilets are out of order due to vandalism.

2 Barbel, 3 Chub

River seemed too high, coloured and rising. Fished for an hour but very little encouragement. One fish hooked and lost euro nymphing.

9lb & 7lb barbel, 2lb chub and 1lb eel. All caught on feeder with halibut pellet and luncheon meat.
Fishing very difficult. Banks steep and slippery with no easy footing. Trees and bank vegetation overgrown.
Info sheet needs updating as large No Parking" sign by water works compound.

2 anglers. Mostly on meat, a few on pellet.
