Very hard day with only a few chub walked the whole stretch up and down the next day was a lot better tho

Great days fishing, 8 rainbow trout caught between 3 anglers 5 caught using worm on a bubble float and 3 using worm on a ledger

What seemed like perfect conditions, over cast cloudy, drizzly rain, how wrong one could be.
I decided to venture further into the meadow..... big mistake the balsam was head height and the path, if you can call it a path was very narrow and almost blends in with the surrounding foliage !! it was like being in the jungle, i kid you not !!
The Fishing was very difficult from the off and despite three early moves i had only One Chub to my name, but what a fish - 5lb 8oz's new PB !
Shame this beat is being left so neglected it was such a prolific stretch and can be once again with a bit of trimming a better peg access and parking at the pumping station which is non existent?.
By mid-day the flood of canoeist intensified, all polite and considerate i have to say, by then the sun had broken through and with the bites drying up i decided to call it a day.
Thanks again to the WUF and land owners for giving us great access to such a great river in perfect surrounding and all the wild life that comes with it.

No fish caught this time

8 rainbow trout between the 2 of us, all caught on bottom using worms, tried our luck spinning but no luck at all. Suprised we didn't get a brownie
