Glynneath & District Angling Association waters are situated in the upper Neath Valley. Much of the 17 miles of gin clear, prime brown trout waters, are located in The Brecon Beacons National Park and often referred to as Dyffryn y Sgydau/Waterfall Valley due to the many renowned waterfalls that are located there. A truly beautiful environment to fish.

Good fishing can be experienced to outwit the canny natural brown trout on these waters. These natural browns fight magnificently. The river holds a good stock of natural brown trout which take nymph, dry and wet flies, providing correct selection of flies are selected.

The section is stocked on a regular basis throughout the season, to supplement natural fish stocks on the lower waters.

From the end of July/ beginning of August, depending on water conditions, we have salmon and sewin runs. Depending on the season and the number of migratory fish that run, good sport can be had with anglers reporting catches of good size fish in some years. There is also a smaller spring run of salmon and sewin.

Good holding pools include….
Langi, Rock Pool, Pontwalby Bridge, Water Bridge, Ynys-y-Nos Rock Pools, Potato Pool, Tennis Court Pool, Pwll-Pen-Cae, the 2 x Junction Pools,
