New beat for me. Arrived to find it coloured after previous days rain, with about a foot in visibility. Few fish showing in the pool immediately above the low point weir. Hooked a decent fish on a para adams, but it jumped and left the fly in an overhanging branch. Bounced out of another in a small run of faster water.

Only fished up to the first footbridge, as it was getting a bit warm. Beat is generally in need of a trim, like most of the wild streams have been for a while. There was also signs of someone else having been around, with a few footprints in places that only a fisherman would be.

Another lovely day on the wye, weather not great water was higher than usual and running fast, struggled to find the fish but did have a few. As usual the acces on this beat is fantastic will be back again in a week to try again. Did manage to catch 3 canoes also managed to fall in and lose my wedding ring, not very popular when I got home. But still a great day and cannot wait to comeback next week.

Just 2 Rods fished and plenty of action some of which was not too welcome…A couple of swans were a bit of a nuisance and they were relentlessly looking for food all day…cant say we blame them though in view their natural food has severely diminished…Plenty of fish caught here in a relatively short session and we lost a Pike too which tail walked its way to safety….There are going to be some good returns here when conditions are right and the stamp of the fish is impressive too with most of the Barbel we caught were all biggish.. Thanks to all concerned for the ongoing effort of this terrific beat
