Did not fish, due to planned inclement weather.

Fished lucky stone in the woods section.
The heaven’s opened and conditions to and from the stone quite treacherous.
Biblical rain horizontal in nature saw barbel jumping but not teeding.
Again, all methods, tactics and baits caught but the water temperature was like a hot bath.
One eel was the other.
Now reached the age where cardiac hill and the Tibetan climb are too much!

Very windy, quite a few branches being blown into river Two small trout to down stream spiders.

Good day, fishing got better after the rain. Others were dace

Didn't fish as wet and very windy. Shame as it looked a great stretch of river.

Lovely day in the water. Couldn’t get a bite on the stick. Had to switch to the waggler.

In all the years we have been fishing the Wye this was the lowest level we can remember it being. We struggled to find any fishable swims at all let alone some where we could fish in a reasonable depth of water. We settled into a couple where we had to make the best of what we had, with a bit of tree management mine would have been half decent but had to cast underarm most of the day so could not reach better spots of the river. The weather was more like an autumnal day, chilly breeze, overcast with heavy showers. John managed to winkle out one chub and that was the only bite between us.
