Fishing becomes more challenging on the way up. Don't be put off by the overgrowth, there's rivers and streams out there with much denser banks than this. Like most streams and becks, the fish are small but compensate with their beauty.
As it is a first visit, I'm not sure what the water clarity is usually like but today the beck was flowing with a dark tea colour. Nymphs used today were copper olive jigs and holographic blue ribbed hares ears.

I recommend using a single nymph and have a vary of different sized beads depending on the flow and depth as the bed is snaggy from the rocks.

Caught 2 Rainbows and 1 Brown between 5am and 11am. Fish rising freely early morning and I caught the first Rainbow on a Stimulator dry fly around 6am. Much less surface activity as the morning went on. The Brown and the second Rainbow both fell to a Pheasant Tail Nymph on a slow retrieve.

Flt fishing on a very warm day. River was clear but with good flow. I saw some huge chub, but sadly I scared them off before I could get close.
Access is a little adventurous due to the high bank, but if you look for the blue pipes sticking up, they mark where access points have been cut into the bank.
I did catch 7 minnows not sure if they count!?

Chub feeding well early in the day, the bites became fewer as the day progressed, to be expected as the sun became hotter !

The grayling have grown on and put up a terrific scrap. My fishing buddy had one knocking 2lb. What a fantastic stretch. Wading staff a must.
