A cold and changeable day with a brisk downstream breeze. Not the best! No sign of any fish. A lovely beat nonetheless.

Brilliant day, 9 grayling to the net all in the space of 2 hours then the bite went off. Estimated between 500g and 1.8lb. Fished a total of 5 hours. River is beautiful, fantastic scenery and great fun even with no wading permitted there are some swims fishable from the bank. Method was mostly euronymphing they went for a self invented and tied nymph pattern with one fish caught on klink and dink PTN nymph.
