The fishing was tough with high pressure moving in from the east, but a very enjoyable day in beautiful countryside. Best graying just over 1lb, all fish on trotted maggot.

Have never fished the river this late in the season but decided to give it a go as had a day off between work trip commitments. The temperature dropped yesterday for the first time this winter so expected the fishing to be very difficult which it was. But perseverance paid off as managed two chub at the end of the day on feeder with double 8mm red robin pellet on the hair. River very big but not roaring. Always a pleasure to be on the Wye!

2 Chub

River very high again so limited options. The first spot I tried at the top was very snaggy and moved after losing all my gear twice. The best Chub was around 4lb+ and the Barbel a good 8 but didn't bother with the scales after a pretty hard fight in heavy flow. All fish on my secret marinated meat ;-)
