One of the two of us fished in the downstream field about 3 swims from the boundary. Somebody has put a hell of a lot of effort in making swims here and the one I fished had a shored up flat fishing area about ten feet by four feet cut into the bank opposite the wooded hillside. Fished bomb and meat around the swim to feel my way in and caught two chub one third across with no response closer in or right over. Put in 6 bait up feeders filled with mixed pellet and groundbait one third across and this set the swim alight. Finished with 13 chub and seven barbel. Best method was 2 banded 6mm pellets or one pellet and a bright coloured dumbell wafter on a short hair loop to a four foot hooklength of 10 lb drennan double strength. No monsters, best barbel 7 lb best chub 4 lb 12 oz. Brilliant day and many thanks to whoever put in the time and effort to create this swim.

A quiet day on beat 5 in a couple of different swims. Eventually two 5lb + Chubb came in quick succession to Red Robin Luncheon meat on the feeder. Beautiful condition and my first ever Chubb over 5lb….happy days!

As we are three elderly gentlemen we agreed after walking the entire fishery that apart from the croy at the end of the beat the rest was to unsafe for us to access any swims so we left and did not fish.
As for the walk back up that 100m track to the road well what can I say.
Any chance of a refund????

First time fishing the Wye and had a good day with 17 chub to both feeder and trotting tactics. 9 of the chub were 3lb plus with my best being 4.1lb. Probably didn't help the fishing, but really nice to see a family group of 3 otters swimming along the opposite bank for about 20-mins around midday.
