Great day. 1 barbel to 6lbs and chub all day with two over 5lbs and many over 3lbs.

1 Barbel, 50 Chub

2 x 3/4 lb browns caught and released (one about 6' from bank!), one on a dry, another on a traditional wet. Extensive surface hatch, many rises. Some weed in the lake. Everything looked very healthy up there, outstanding fishing.

Very half arsed fishing, saw nothing in the lake, a few rises in the river below.

Sunny day, river level normal. Enjoyable morning trotting meat stood on the rocks at the lower end of the stretch, instant bites and plenty of chub up to 4-5lb. Afternoon switched to light ledger on meat, good result again with chub. Switched to pellet/ feeder to try and find a barbel but nothing after around 3pm.
Looking over the side of the Bridge over the last couple of days, around 20 good sized chub feeding most of the time but I only spotted one barbel.

Had some really good size chub up to 6lb but the barbel seemed to be no existent

Evening ticket. Quite quiet on the surface. A trout and a grayling from the bottom of the beat on a little comparadun, a better trout and a 2.5lb chub from Lady Alexander's pool on a small streamer at dusk.

All caught in the faster water on feeder tactics. Had some issues with fishermen on the other side but phoned Wye and Usk straight away, the farmer came down and moved them on, apparently they have paid £800 to fish their beat and for what it’s worth their half is shallow this time of year. Very hot today and water levels low.
