Barbel caught early on the beach under the castle. Strangely the majority of chub caught in the hottest part of the day with a few taken in the evening.

Very little water but a few rises and one bite.

Quite a good evening rise from about 9.45 to 10.15, though hard to match. Size 14 Adams was being spat out quite a lot. Two decent fish of 14 and 15 inches, the latter on a sedge on the swing.

Very hot day, lovely stretch as usually!
Chub outcompeting the barbel.
