Water highish to start but must have dropped at least 2 feet during the day. 4 fish from 7.8 to 9.10 all within a mad hour from 11.30.

Great days fishing. Directions/instructions need a bit of tweaking.
Advised by a estate worker to follow track along river until reaching a blue container for parking .Then told off for driving too far along path. Not really my fault if blue container had been moved and no longer there !!!!!

First time on this beat thought we would give it a go we fished the roadside downriver of the parking. Two mini barbel about 2lb each and lots of small chub mostly around a pound from bottom of stretch. Saw other reviews mention a gravel bank but water too high to see that but think that was where we fished.

Nice stretch but wild and seems under fished as the access to the upstream area is challenging lots of brambles and trees to waterside and could not see any fishable spots apart from outside the house and wasn't sure you can fish there so didn't. Downstream just a few places fishable due to high water maybe better when lower water level.

River was very high, fast and colored. Wanted to fish the wooded section but the were no safe swims which was really disappointing so only option was the meadows. The path between woods and meadow is seriously over grown and needs opening up as well as a few more swim upstream.

Sunny day, river coloured and pulling through due to overnight rain. Fished in meadow at the dead tree swim. 1x chub. Getting caught up in downstream bush, so moved to an old swim upstream that hadn't been fished for years but old steps still cut in the bank. Managed to sit with chair in the water and caught barbel and chub. Later on, moved back down towards car park and caught barbel and chub. All Barbel 5 to 6lb, on hair rigged meat, straight lead. Did not try the wooded section.
