A baking hot day with low water, so conditions were far from ideal. Two rods blanked, the third caught 7 nice chub float fishing a fast run at the bottom of the beat.
As mentioned by other rods, the part of the beat above the car park is completely inaccessible because of very steep banks and impenetrable undergrowth. There is some lovely water in this section and the beat would be greatly improved if at least a couple of access points were created.

An awful stretch and even worse customer service from the wye and Usk, literally 2 swims fishable and 2 anglers on, so no option of a move and a flat refusal of a refund or change of venue over 50 quid completely wasted .... certainly won't be booking with them in future

Great days fishing. Non stop action.

Started off on right hand bank in the reeds swim fishing approx half way. Feeder & 8mm pellet. Had a barbel first cast and then Chub every cast after averaging around 3lb and biggest going 4 and a half.

Moved at 11:30 to left bank last swim (just at end of fast water) again chub a chuck and also had 4 barbel, mainly 4lb ish with a bigger one of 6lb.

Well worth a visit, good parking close to river and swims well made compared to most of the wye.

1 angler 6:15am - 7:30pm

5 Barbel, 35 Chub
