Much better day today, there was a decent hatch of yellow duns during the day and I manged to catch lots on a narrower faster stretch. Nothing of any great size, 1lb that best, but great fun.

Good days fishing was had . River was low and we moved around on the stretch . Had many people deciding to acces the bank for swimming and letting there dog in which is annoying even when you do politely point out we have booked the stretch

Wonderful day - fish very active, rising all day. Olives and sedges in the air. finally figured it out - extra long leader/tippet. DH Caddis in the feed lanes and beetles under the trees. 3 to the net, 3 lost of thrown hook and 2 lost to snaps (which was v frustrating I can tell you), missed many more

5 small trout 6>8 inches, 7 grayling again around 7>8 inches. One better size brown around 10 inches lost at the net.
All looked in healthy condition and returned unharmed. Size 16 black knat done the trick in the fast water.
