Had some nice chub. Never one to moan But was spoilt because people were fishing the left bank all with 2 rods canoeists stopping for a picnic in the pegs. And general public on the island pool up to the forge pool fishing with spinning kits. Not ideal for the amount of money paid to fish for the day could do with bailiff checks during the day.

20 Chub

The 21st June, longest day!! I had planned to start early and finish late, but the afternoon sun was relentless and I succumbed at around 6pm. I fished in the woods with a feeder and meat in the morning and caught 2 Chub, lots more knocks but no fish. In the afternoon I was trotting without any bites until I switched to bread!! Eleven chub in two hours, four of them over 4lb. No sign of any barbel yet

13 Chub

River level low. Water fairly clear and good to see more weed growth than previous years. All fish caught on meat and pellets from the faster water. Barbel quite lean fish between 4lb and 7lb. Best Chub 4lb.
