Despite conditions looking ideal, fishing was very slow. Few fish rising but no action until 1.30pm. One nice rainbow around 2lb on a worm.

Optimum conditions on a beautiful stretch. Despite this, bites were scarce. 4 of the Chub were in the 4 to 5 lb category. Lost one barbel. The better sized fish fell to luncheon meat and pork pie. Very little action on pellet.
I'll be back soon.

Only had two hours of fishing, absolute nightmare trying to get into the river near on impossible, barbed wire fence hidden in bushes, walked to the weir at the end of the beat had about 6 takes on a red tag dry fly but I was not quick enough to hook and the light was fading and overcast
Not sure I would pay to come here again

Mild cloudy day, colour dropped out and caught most of the fish in the last hour on pellet and meat legering

Spent most of the day on the feeder looking for barbel but another no show, just a couple of small chub. So trotted maggot down the inside where the chublets were happy to oblige which was fun on light tackle, nothing over a pound.
The “other” was roach and dace. Damp windy day but very enjoyable nonetheless.

First time fishing this beat very limited swim choice. We managed 7 barbel & 1 chub. Barbel we’re 6lb the smallest and biggest 8lb 10oz. Chub was just over 5lb All the fish were in pristine condition. Feeder and pellet were the tactics that caught on the day. Realy nice looking beat will come again for sure

Frustratingly tough day in what appeared to be excellent conditions, total of nine swims tried, a couple more than once. All fish to meat, best chub 4lb. 8oz., a very hard fighting Barbel of 9lb. 2oz. was literally the last cast of the day.

1 Barbel, 4 Chub
