Perfect conditions with light winds and mostly overcast skies. All fish came to a mixture of baits.
Most of the barbel were caught late afternoon.

A blank day. No salmon seen. Good weather for fishing.

A member rod was most helpful in guiding me as it was the first time I have fished this beat.

I have longed for a day like today... It was a perfect autumn day, with water at the right height to be able to wade throughout the beat. It's a shame then there are no salmon anymore. I hooked a large fish which I can only think was a salmon, in fast water, and , if it was, it was the first and last I have seen this year.

I think salmon fishing is all but over and there's no sign of any help coming.
