Excellent day spent with Colin the Ghillie learnt so much as a relative beginner to Salmon Fishing had one fish look at the fly and saw a bigger silver fish roll near the first croy by the hut but no fish on the bank. Probably down to my skills as the river was at a lovely level

The river looked good with some colour and the mild conditions made me feel very confident.
Unfortunately the fish had other ideas ! One Eel on luncheon meat and nothing else was disappointing, not even a Trench mouth (chub) !!

River in good condition, physically challenging (long stretch, tough wade in spots). Fish very fit

No fish caught, saw only one, water still coloured

Brown Trout on Flying C from Wood Stream.

Late flourish for the Nyth - 9 fish in total - 12th Oct -2 fish -(14, 5lb); 13th Oct -5 fish - (20,14,12,10,10lb) and 14th Oct - 2 fish - (14, 8lb) the last two to Bill Godfrey.
