Rain the night before brought the river up and colored slightly, but was needed. Fishing slow in the morning but a temp rise of a few degrees around 3pm got things going. Plenty of danica and LBD coming off for the next hour, one really solid fish taken on a deer emerger. Bigger insect life petered out followed by an awesome hatch of BWO, fish were totally focused on these for the next couple of hours, another 2-3lb fish landed with multiple smaller fish thrown in. A great day.

Cold,wet and windy all day. Fished weighted hares ear on the point and bibio dropper. Most fish took the hares ear nymph.
