Sharp drop in temperature overnight and bright sunny day may have put the barbel off. Tried a couple of swims and caught the chub in each of them best fish was 4lb 4oz. All caught on pellets.

Nice venue, this was my second time, will certainly be returning.

Fledgling salmon angler at work. No takes on red francis or willie gunn variant. One salmon, about 2' long leapt in front of the hut.
Switched to a black and yellow tubefly which brought a take, close to spot where salmon seen. Brief heart stopping moment but just a lively small trout.

One Cock Salmon 14lbs caught and returned using 11/2inch. Cascade tube. Ghillie very helpful.

River up and coloured, but dropping throughout the day. The wind picked up in the morning and the river filled with willow leaves, which made presentation difficult, as struggling to hold bottom for long. Still managed to catch steadily through the day and ended with a double hookup between us just as we were about to pack up.
