Water was still high and coloured but falling. Managed to land 2 Chub one at 5 1/2 lb. Fished pellets and feeder.
Pleasant day.

No Barbel today, but the Chub kept us amused mostly on Luncheon Meat.

river high and rising. still very good fishing though.

7 Barbel, 15 Chub

Ledger fished from 2pm to 6pm for Barbel using pellets. The river was in full flow following the recent rain. Water was fast-flowing , muddy and a lot of debris was floating downstream. No fish caught. Weather was warm and sunny!

River was to high for the top half of the beat all fish where caught at the lower part barbel between 5 lbs and the biggest going 9.1 lbs all fish taken on boilie and meat .

Stunning day today, I had 6 inc a 10.lb 2oz. DH from Taunton had 9 all around 8lb & also a PB of 10.lb 6oz, so we’ll done Den.

15 Barbel

5 small brown trout caught between 13:30 and 17:40. Caught using Royal Coachman Dry fly or GB Prince Nymph. Plenty of nibbles over the whole beat. River low and fairly clear. Lost a big one in the middle of the beat, next to where the bank is held with stones in a metal cage.

Should have fished better, the 2 others were the now customary eels.
