Fished all day for Barbel but to no avail - plenty of chub getting in the way and keeping us busy though. Very nice stretch of river with variety of swim types and gratefully very few snags. Would definitely book again, hopefully with the river a little higher.

Fished from around 10 am until 5.30 pm, tried several methods, float & worm, ledger, spinning with various meps & tobies moved around rese but a dead loss. Nice scenery though. It was a windy cold day on the west side, moved over to the East side near A470 much calmer. I think they knew i was coming.! There is always next time. Happy fishing.

Overcast, cool wind. Plenty of spinners around until mid pm. Fish rising in slower pools and runs but mostly small chaps. Fishing was challenging as the river is extremely low and large pools almost static. Managed to winkle 3 BT out on dries. CDC Shuttlecock and Crystal Flash post. black klink. Action died mid pm and there was no evening hatch or rise. Very pleasant session nevertheless.
