River well up from recent weeks though distinctly green. Weather warm with sunny periods. Quiet when I started in mid-afternoon, but then a couple of smallish chub and two barbel around 7 and 6 lbs between 17.00 and 18.00. No more barbel but a few more chub and a big chub lost. I stayed until around 21.00 but the day's activity had ended well before then.

Very low water levels throughout the beat. One bite, otherwise blank. A beautiful stretch of river, though, and I can imagine it would be productive after replenishment of much-needed rainfall.

Fist time on this beat. Lovely scenery. River was up a bit following the recent rain. Chub were biting all day (should have caught more), but the barbel were taken in the evening.

Nice day on the Wye. Very picturesque venue. Seemed to snag up a lot more than previous visit here but still got a few nice fish. A pleasure to be able to roam this lovely stretch.
