Fished Beat 4 at Whitney court Wednesday 22nd September. Quiet day .Five people fished arrived 07.30 -15.00. River quite low . Caught chub but not Barbel. Swans a nuisance counted 44. Not many canoes. Still had a good day overall.

Nice overcast day with a gentle wind but not a single fish seen or encountered by the various flies that I tried. Fishing also difficult owing to the very low level of the reservoir, the steep banks and very gooey mud at the margins.
