Two grayling caught on weighted shrimp in late afternoon both in good condition and released in the water. Weather variable with thunder, rain and wind. A big thank you to the other fisherman on the beat who gifted three wet flies he enjoyed success with during the day. Looking forward to trying these on Thursday.

lovely stretch of river in a lovely setting. The levels still seemed pretty low but the fish were still moving about. Got caught by heavy rain for two hours or so with thunder so packed the rod away and found sanctuary.. Once the storm passed there was a good sized hatch and the fish were taking so cast a size 16 iron blue dun to match what i was seeing which landed me two brownies of around 11inches... Then it went quiet again.
I will note due to unfavorable conditions (low, warmer water than what would be normal) for the fish i used a 5wt rod with a stronger than needed leader just to land the fish quicker, try to reduce stressing them further then they are already in their environment. Hence no pictures.

Low water and no action forced us downriver from usual spot not far from steps but no joy in the deeper faster run either.
