Two anglers. 12 x grayling 6-11 inches. One heavy fish came off. River at 1ft 4 inches to 1ft 5 inches, becoming muddy.

Had a great day on this fantastic stretch of the Wye,ended up with 6 Barbel,highlight of the day was catching a Barbel of 10 lbs 13 oz.
Nice to meet other anglers Harry and Alan and thanks again to Harry for taking the photos.

6 Barbel, 1 Chub

River up and managed to find fish close in the slack. Barbel caught in 90 mins from 2pm followed by the Chub but nothing in the magic last hour. All fish to double dumbells and feeder tactics.

No fish caught today, river running very fast and very coloured. Fished feeder with meat and only had 1 decent bite, still lovely location and will definitely return

Tough fishing and struggled to hold bottom. One barbel late on.

River up and rising fast. What a stunning stretch. Loads of fishable pegs. Caught 6 Barbel to 6lb and lost three. One chub, which was the angriest fish I've ever caught. Nearly lost the rod to it. Soon became clear why it was quite so angry when I removed a snapped off hooklink with a strong size 14 hook with a small red baitstop still attached.

River was up a bit, caught only fish on a pellet in the first field

Mucky soupy water, will go another day and make full use of the seventeen quid permit !!!! Should have held back , not bothered to be honest with the lousey weather we have been having , no bother , shall go on a better day , when river is gleaming and a lot lower than what it is now !!!!!! Had a look at various parts off the river , deep deep water , doesn't really look good fly water but there we go , a wash off at the moment !!!!!!!!

1 Barbel

Heavy rain and thunderstorms gave very little opportunity for fishing, but despite this the barbel were playing ball. Hooked 3, only landed one, but it was a PB of 9 and a quarter pounds. Also caught Chub and several Dace. Wonderful stretch!
