River in perfect order, but very little fly life and no fish showing. This is a beautiful beat, with what looks like classic dry fishing, but much of it is severely limited by impossibility of access because of heavily overgrown banks

River clear but plenty of water, a very nice 6 hrs on my local water, i can see it from my place, started at the bridge at 7am, no sign of fish , so started with a size 16 grey duster, 5 wbt 6 to 10 ins, 1 grayling 10 ins and 1 parr. Tried tungsten nymph in the deep runs, all fish on the grey duster.

It's the second time I've been in a week bought a adult & child licence £18.00 plus £3.00 online charge which I think is a rip off. We both come away with no fish, asked bailiffs when stocked it they said Wednesday with 500 trout. I find that very hard to believe because there was many more anglers coming home with nothing. I won't be fishing there until things change.

What a lovely river with a great deal of careful long-term management. Water clear but falling back. Hatch of mayfly,BWO ,other ephemera & a few small sedge but very few rising fish. 3 good fish over 12 in and several lost even though apparently securely hooked. Paradun and tungsten HE.

Hot and sunny. Few rises all day. Lost 1 x fish early evening just below rocks on a nymph. Was hunting a cracking 1ft+ fish spotted when 2 kayaks came down this section which has no navigation rights. It disappeared. 5 kayaks in all during the day. Plus a family from the caravan park fishing with the flag pole from their caravan - who when approached claimed they had "phoned the man who owns the river" and clearly had no idea of the notion of a closed season or private fishing. I imagine this scene repeated over many waters this summer unfortunately. I will return though.
