A fabulous day for my first salmon outing of 2020. Weather and river conditions felt spot on. Unfortunately no salmon but I caught three of the most splendidly conditioned brown trout I've ever seen from the middle of Dol-meudwy. Two in the region of 2lbs and the third close to 3lb. Had I caught them on trout gear I'd have called it a red-letter day and bragged shamelessly! Full marks to WUF for maintaining such a magnificent river.

A beautiful day to fish. I didn't do as well as I have previously losing a lot of trout to my incompetence! But again, not a single sign of a salmon of any kind

River up and very fast. Lost a lot of strong tackle in the rocks, lots of boats. The dace fishing was good on the float.

Fished okay but very disappointed with the non-existent pegs! Everywhere very overgrown and we were not forewarned that we would need to dig out own pegs and cut the foliage back.

Ideal water height and clarity today. Saw plenty of activity, quite a fair few takes, and netted a decent-sized brown trout just above the bridge on an orange/olive GRHE. Many thanks again to the beat owner for his advice on the phone. Will be back again.

Long delayed upload here - but this is a very fishable piece of water and clearly lots of people have! That did mean fish were shy - we had several small brown. Lots of the water is prime sea trout water, and when dusk arrived we turned to this with success. Before the pubs called last orders we had two small sea trout of a pound and half but saw and heard plenty more. Nice water but could have done without the worm fishermen hogging what looked like prime spots. Still each to there own and there were plenty of glides and tail ends of pools for all.
