High water but dropped a fair bit throughout the day. Visiting anglers managed to catch 2 trout, one on spiders and the other on the dry when a few fish we seen rising. Lovely place to spend a day.

plenty of action from 8 am and left by 1:30pm , roads still not sorted despite complaining to welsh water earlier this month , who appear to say its a natural resource wales issue, seems to be going round in ever decreasing circles, this is now seriously impacting on access for the disabled angler. according to recent posts on these catch returns and one of them needs to show leadership and take responsibility.

Usk was still high from the recent deluge making the upper half of the beat unfishable. The lower half however did give up 2 hard-fighting wbt at 10" and 12". Taken on a weighted Czech nymph and returned safely.

I think we had a 6 & 4 fish ticket or whichever we maxed the catch on this day it was a great session, still yet to see a rainbow trout over around 2lb I wonder is there any big ones left. I'm trying tomorrow date 19/03/2022
