Well my Usk curse is lifted !
Until today this was my nemesis, about 8 trips to various Usk beats and only 1 trout to show for it .
Arrived to a glorious sunny morning and bumped in to DJ from Tewkesbury who was the other rod on the beat , quick chat whilst we set up then off we went out separate ways .
A red letter day was waiting for me , 14 trout landed with I should think close on the same number lost or jumped ! Biggest a lovely fish of 2lb 2oz
Very easy access and will definitely be booking this one again

Had a nice 4 hours on this stretch which was new to me. It was intermittent cloud and sunshine but still quite cool and the water level were quite low. Saw a couple of fish and there was a small hatch of flies at about 3.30pm with the odd rise but the fish eluded me today. Tried a couple of nymphs but didn't have any interest. A nice stretch though.
