11-3:30. Chose dry fly, greenwells glory and olive, water still skinny but slight colour. Hergest almost unrecognisable after the past year’s turbulent weather, still beautiful and will always be a favoured beat. No success in raising but took the two rises that were seen, 6 and 10 ins. Both returned safely.

Another very enjoyable trip to that beautiful river, which although carrying extra water showed no signs of fish. Alas no salmon on this occasion.
I did however catch a 2lb rainbow (flying c) which certainly got the heart rate up, great colours too.
Looking forward to returning soon,
PVD

Gorgeous small water beat! Lots of technical type casting but very easy wade. Fished above Titley bridge to the upstream boundary. Water was quite chilly and crystal clear. Turning a few rocks saw loads of caddis, a few stonefly and scuds galore. As the sun warmed the water, began to see quite a few caddis and mayfly buzzing about. Managed to catch 3 browns the biggest being nearly 12”.All three were caught on a Tungsten Surveyor size 16 with a 3.m bead. Would love to return to this beat with warmer weather and more normal flows.

Lovely day on the water. Some Large Dark Olives around and fish taking the dry and nymph fairly well most of the day until the ebbing river level and temperature dropped about 4pm which was not great for the fishing although one or two fish still willing. Most fish around the 8oz-1lb mark with one or two larger ones and a long release on a 2lb+ fish! Thank you WUF for a memorable fishing day.
