Pretty good day on the lovely creel beat, with my Dad landing 1 grayling, 16 chub and around 20 dace all on maggot feeder tactics. I also had 7 chub and 2 barbel myself also on maggot feeder. River was 0.55 metres and rising. The last hour of the day the river rose alot and bites completely stopped.

Awful conditions with heavy rain and gale force winds. Had 3 Chub on a tough day. River was low and clear too

Enjoyable day despite the wind and rain. Nice spot in the first field. Just a few silver fish on maggot. One bigger fish - probably a Chub- got lost in snag just before landing.

Good stretch of river. Barbel both on pellet 5lb and 6lb. Swims are VERY slippery in the rain, be aware!!
Didn’t see bailiff all day. (Other = Dace)

Main priority today was to stay safe (& dry). Horrendous weather - howling winds and heavy rain. Even with dog spike & rope was difficult to find anywhere that wasn't treacherous. Settled at top of fishery and managed a couple of barbel and lost one - actually felt I should have done better. Love this beat but not so nice on days like this !

2 Barbel, 1 Chub
