Fishing difficult in the morning.Had first two on a spinner and the third bubble float with worm

River was running at twice the summer level which meant a strong flow of water pushing through. This wouldn’t normally have been too much of an issue but a strong gusting down steam wind hampered casting. DC managed the two trout, one at 6” and the other 8”. He also got bust by a good fish as well.
My sorry effort resulted in three long releases and three or four strong tugs on the nymphs. I did manage to foul hook a minnow though, poor little bugger.

Great day at the stones, fish fell to meat and bread on the bottom. Barbel to 8lb and Chub to 4.5lb

Slow during the day apart from moderate sized chub on the float. Barbel from 6pm. A very pleasant beat with a variety of swims.

Good conditions, path is in terrible condition as someone else mentioned. About one fish rising every hour with frequency picking up about 8.30pm to a lot more jumping. Best fishing spots were occupied until late by locals swimming which seems to be a regular thing based on other comments.

No interest at all on a variety of dry flies I tried including gnats and olives.

Not suitable at all for bank fishers like me and you will need waders to get anywhere decent. Guidance on the website should be updated to reflect that. Was poor value for money and I wont return

Fished from 6-10, started getting bites at 7pm and had an hour of hectic action from the chub with the odd barbel in between. Barbel to around 8lb and some cracking chub to 4.5 lb. most on halibut pellets and Krill boilies.
