Couldnt get a touch on the float - all caught on the lead

weed not as bad but still pretty slow fishing compared to what it can be like

River at normal level, but still with some colour. Fish were caught through-out the day on a mixture of different pellet sizes and types.

John Lewis and I enjoyed our first visit after lockdown. Fished Woodstream and landed 7 trout, all around half pound apart from one beauty of 1.8lb landed by John. I was broken by a similar size fish using 2.7lb tippet, shame.
All fish taken using floating line with long leader and gold head hares ear nymph size 14.
Water .53m and beer colour but reasonably clear.
Brilliant start to our season, John landing all five taken, myself two and one lost

Hard day - very few fish moving - eventually caught a decent fish just over a pound. Nice note left on my windscreen by the owner welcoming fishermen back

River up and in good condition. Rained hard again in the evening, when bites started to come. Used boilies and luncheon meat with feeder.

2 Barbel, 3 Chub

River coloured , normal level. A couple of smaller chub on the float then switched to feeder. 5 more Chub up to 4 1/2lb and 2 Eel. Sweet corn, bread, pellets.

Lots of small knocks,lost a barbel in the rocks!had a great day otherwise! Saw a otter twice ,and feeding egrets!luvly
