Lovely stretch, amazing amount of geese and lovely views and environment in general.
Not quite the “red letter” experience of others in recent weeks, however some fish landed and sporadic knocks.
Note that I left before “the witching hour”

Despite losing my rig box, sliding into the river like a RNLI lifeboat from 20 feet up the bank and somehow dropping my sandwiches into the drink, I had a wonderful and very productive day. Loads of action, pretty much all afternoon into dusk. Poor angling (I'm easily distracted) meant I should have caught double the amount. Must try harder tomorrow.

No sign of any fish rising - a little cold. Did hook a couple but failed to land them.

A lovely afternoon, although the downstream wind got a bit stronger as the afternoon progressed. Water level was good and overcast. Dry fly was difficult in the wind but had a couple of pulls on the flats. PTN took the only catch, a small WBT bought to hand. Lost another at bottom of beat. Pheasants, andKingfishers were lovely to see but the highlight was a salmon jumping at the pool just down from top of beat....
