Very little activity despite some minor fly hatches. We had to leave at 1900 so may have missed a final show! Beautiful stretch of river.

Lost count of nips and pulls from shad, fortunately most being self releasing. Water clarity ok but blanket weed is lifting to some degree and causing much fly cleaning. Couple of sightings of coloured salmon. No interest.

Good day in perfect reservoir conditions. A few taken on dries, but majority on traditional wets, mallard and claret being the most successful, biggest fish around the 1 1/2 lb mark.

Fished about 7 to 10pm hoping for an evening rise. Water low and clear. There were a few fish apparently sipping on emergers (not mine), and I had a couple of abortive takes on a size 10 Goddard's sedge late on, but the 10pm sedge hatch/rise failed to materialise. A bit too early in the year?

Only had 3 hours in the morning. I am an inexperienced river angler but with the river the colour of milky coffee I did not hold much hope. I lost 2 small brownies on heavy bugs. A fantastic beautiful stretch of river with great access maps and posts marking river entry and exit points. If it stops raining, I will be back.

A light mayfly hatch allowed me to land one good sized Arrow brownie, and miss a few others

First time on this stretch of river and an enjoyable day. Some fish rising sporadically, mostly to Mayfly, but most of the fish were taken on nymphs.
