I got to Arrow Mill for around 1pm. As I parked up, the farmer came over to introduce himself, and kindly turned off the electric fence for me, as there were no cattle in the fields. The water level was too high for my liking, I had a few casts just above the weir, but to no avail. I gave up with the fishing after an hour or so. But stayed to have a wonder around this beautiful place. I'll be back to give this beat another try when the levels drop a few feet.

Levels dropping, great fun fishing places I’ve never fished before because of access.all fish caught on normal feeder tactics.

Nice day out and surprisingly mild. River up a little higher than I expected. Both Barbel caught on 15mm pellet and paste about two rod lengths out in a swim opposite Goodrich Castle.

River very high and fast, and heavily coloured.

Fished 11am - 4pm. Difficult going on a high river. Great access to water but really pushing through.

turned up to find river bank high walked whole beat but no swims available so two disappointed anglers returned home

River almost at bank full so an aborted trip, I threw my heaviest team of Disco Shrimps into the fast flowing gloom but to no avail.

Feeder fishing, river in flood, pellet and meat.
