Fished all pools on beat. Fished the rock pool without a touch, had a cup of tea and a change of fly and wow it worked a fish of 13lb'ish.

Area:Reservoirs

Beat:Usk Reservoir

Fishing:Trout (Stillwater)

No. of Anglers:2

Had 3 fish on but lost all. Caught one on nymph, one on buzzer, one on blob.

One of was spinning and had a couple of tugs but no good.

A lot of dead perch around today?

Also why are so many people allowed to light fires? Ive only been here a few times but every time there are multiple people camping over night and lighting fires, some of which are way too big seeing as there is so much forestry around. And some bins would make a welcome addition to help the mess.

Love the area, stunning place.

Area:Usk

Beat:Penpont

Fishing:Trout (River)

No. of Anglers:4

Weather was again good but water still cold and high from previous rain. Some olives seen throughout the day but very few rises . Unexpected extra angler (guest of owner) arrived earlier than we did and went through some of the good pools catching a few on dries. Most of our fish caught on nymphs but one on a sedge in rougher water.

Fishing Passport Note : Booking Office error that the additional angler was present.

River levels are returning to normal but not there yet. River is still pushing through at a rate which is challenging.
Regardless we (only 2 anglers) managed to catch

I used spinning technique. I caught two brown trouts and one rainbow trout and missed a lot. Lake was so clean and low water level. The inspectors were very friendly and helpful. And of course I throw all fish back in to the water
