River high and rising but managed to catch in the few swims that were fishable

We arrived about midday. Weather was terrible with constant rain throughout the afternoon, causing the river to rise and push through very hard. There were only a couple of fishable swims due to high water and slippery banks. Thankfully, we managed to find a bit of slack water and bag 3 barbel up to 10lb 4oz on meat.

Red letter day for me, with the river levels falling the fish were really on it, fished a couple of hours in all fishable swims and they all produced, chub of 5.5lb and best barbel just under 9lb

Did not fish - river too high.

Fished for a couple of hours in the morning, sport was much slower than the previous 2 days

Fish fell to usual pellet feeder tactics

Very difficult conditions and banks extremely slippery due to rain. Only one barbel caught.
