Really lovely beat and very well looked after. Nearly all Chub over 4lb and Barbel up to 8lb. 6lb Pike took a squid flavoured pellet! All fish in immaculate condition and gave tremendous fights to the net. Got a right good soaking in the afternoon and the evening mist made it very atmospheric.......the Wonderful Wye

Quite slow going until later in the afternoon when a small Klinkhammer started to get results. Some of the boards need obvious care.

We went for Barbel, got pestered by chub
All fish in wonderful condition. Best barbel was about ten pounds.
Rained all afternoon but was still a lovely day’s fishing.
Many Thanks to the land owner for mowing the paths it made it easy for the less able person to get access.

Solid rain. Nothing rising to the surface. And they weren't interested in my nymphs.

Mr Johnson's antics mercifully ensured that I only got quizzical looks from my family, rather than a full-on interrogation over whether the afternoon had provided value for money, when I returned home soggy that evening.

Weather a struggle, occasional heavy showers. Chub at weir and below boat house, rocks a problem beneath the wall. A good location just the wrong day. Easy access and a beautiful stretch. Will be back. Broken a couple of times !!!

fly fishing using a 5 weight rod caught two small trout on nymphs, it was difficult wading had to fish of the planks
which can be very slippery if you have not got felt studs on your boots
