almost dryfly

2 Trout, 6 Grayling

River up and raining. No bites on any baits, probably wrong swims on the day. Went home early. Wild beat but paths and a few beats have been strimmed.

2 Barbel, 2 Chub

Water level about 3ft too high and coloured. It's dropping though and someone will hit it perfectly in the coming week!
Fished from 6.30am to 11am and had 5 chub - all to groundbait feeder and pellet or boilie

7-8lb freshish cock fish from Ash pool on a 3 inch wing black and yellow monkey. Hit it just right, river perfect

Tough conditions but managed to catch 11chub to 5lb and one eel lost fish in string weed shame no barbel

Late p.m. & evening. My first visit to the Clettwr. You'd normally have to go to the Amazon for this sort of experience. Water clear and plenty of it. 3 trout on goldhead nymphs completed an entertaining few hours.

very hard day river in flood.luckily I had just purchased a 2.25 barbel rod , I needed it to land a 7lb barbel and 2 chub. licked the swim but not conditions. thanks for a good day in adverse conditions
