Fished from bottom of the beat, starting at 6:00pm and finished at the beat end 8:30pm. Was hoping for a mayfly extravaganza with fish gorging, but hardly any rises and some, but not many mayfly. Hey ho. Stuck with bushy shadow mayfly and rose 3 in likely runs, all coming to hand. Still too early maybe?

After reading the previous reports detailing the river conditions was not expecting much from the day, however after 6 weeks in lockdown I felt the need to get into the great outdoors.
The river is desperately low in fact in places on the lower section of the beat the river had actually dried up completely. There are probably three for four sections that offer an opportunity for you to get a fly onto the water. With the lack of flow algae is building up on the surface making it difficult to fish what pools are still fishable.
Its a beautiful location and beat, but very sad to see a river with these low water levels. We need some prolonged rain in Wales before the river becomes fishable again in my opinion, there was a May Fly hatch but very little reaction from the fish.

Perfect conditions today, hardly any wind and mostly overcast. A steady Mayfly hatch all through the day and plenty of other insects hatching as well but few fish rising. Fortunately the ones that did rise were eager to take my fly and I managed to get 10 to the net. Most were good fish in the 10 - 12" range but a few smaller ones as well, all safely returned. All on either a small size 16 DHE variant or sort of Adams.

River low and now carrying an algae bloom saw several fish but nothing was interested in the fly. Good cloud cover in the morning but this cleared after lunch.

river very low and a warm sunny day, expectations not incredibly high. A new beat for me so a good opportunity to see get to know the pools and runs while the water is lower.
Saw a couple of salmon but unable to move them.
Couple of wbt (3/4 pound) and a couple of oos chub - all on or near the surface.

slight issue on arrival with two cattle in the secure parking area! left and returned 30 mins later and cattle disappeared. think this was due to someone not putting he chain over the metal gate allowing anglers access.

My second time to this venue - the first was last week. Another lovely sunny day and a few fish rising. I fished on and off from 11.30am to 4pm and caught two trout: 16cm & 22cm. Exclusively fished dry flies again. Great fun!
